Current Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 - Baroque time period called for playing eighth notes with long bow strokes and the quarter notes with a detached bow stroke, more staccato. Watch for f#s and c#s! We will be performing the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 on March 24th for the HUSD Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office. Remember to arrive in concert attire at 6:00 p.m. to tune and warm up. Air on G String - Largo tempo marking requires an extremely slow bow arm with great control. All the Pretty Little Horses - work on counting/rhythm for your part please. This piece is a challenge rhythmically.

*I have registered the Chamber Ensemble for ABODA Area Festival the last week in April. Look for more details soon! Our performance pieces will be; Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, Air on the G String and All the Pretty Little Horses.

*Those selected Chamber students who are doing Jr. High All-State, it is on March 12th (Saturday) at our own Higley Center for the Performing Arts! I have not received your music. I will contact the Director to make sure I get it, as well as the tickets for the concert, soon so you can start practicing!
